Chumphon Archipelago National Park
was established as a national park in 1989, initially named Hat Sai Ree National Park. It was later proclaimed as Chumphon Archipelago National Park on February 24, 1999, covering an area of 198,125 rai, from Ko Chorakhe in Pathio District to Ko Ngam Yai, Ko Ngam Noi, Ko Samet, Ko Maprao, Ko Matra, Ko Thong Lang, Ko Langka Jew in the Ao Thung Makham area in Mueang District, and the islands in Sawi District and Thung Tako District. The park has a variety of well-preserved resources that are important in terms of being a genetic source and a hub for knowledge, learning, and research. The park also provides accommodation and camping sites for visitors.
