[Portugal] Cabo da Roca + Sintra 1-day sightseeing model course [Departing from Lisbon]

I visited Cabo da Roca + Sintra, which are must-visit places in Portugal, in one day, so I'll share the route I took 🌟

💡Train & Bus Tickets can only be purchased on the day. I went at 6:30. I was able to buy it smoothly because it was a weekday morning, but it will probably be crowded during the rush hour and during the day, so I recommend going to Rossio Station early.

🚶2-minute walk to Sintra (Estação).
🚌 Take bus 1253 from Sintra (Estação) to Cabo da Roca (about 40 minutes) 💰 2.6€ cash only

(I was able to get on the bus that arrived earlier than expected, and arrived at 8:45 instead of the scheduled arrival time of around 9am!)

📍 Around 9:00 Sightseeing at Cabo da Roca, Cabo da Roca (about 1-1.5 hours)

💡 The tourist information center opens at 9:00, so apply for a certificate of reaching the westernmost point (11€) as soon as it opens!
(I was the first one there and was able to get my name and date written right away!)

🚌 Take the 1253 to Sintra (Estação) around 10:15 (about 40 minutes) 💰 2.6€ cash only

🚌 Take the 434 from Sintra (Estação) to Palacio da Pena (about 20 minutes)

⚠️ I got caught in traffic and arrived later than planned. It is recommended that you allow yourself plenty of time when booking tickets to Pena Palace.

📍 12:30 Pena Palace (about 1 hour and 30 minutes including walking through the gardens)

💡 It takes 15 to 30 minutes from the gardens to the palace. (There is a paid bus that takes about 3 minutes) Make sure to take that time into consideration when buying your palace ticket.

🚌From Castelo dos Mouros, take the 434 to Sintra Villa (Centro Historico) (about 10 minutes)

📍15:30 Sintra Palace (about 1 hour)

🚶Walk around the old town of Sintra to Regaleira Palace

(about 15 minutes)

(It takes about 5 minutes by bus 435, but when I went, I was told that the bus was not running for some reason)

🚶About 15 minutes walk to Sintra Villa (Centro Historico)

🚌From Sintra Villa (Centro Historico), take the 434 to Sintra (Estação)
🚃　Leave Sintra Station after 7pm to Lisboa Rossio Station (about 40 minutes)

💡 Tips
If you buy tickets to the above spots (Pena Palace, Moorish Castle, Sintra Palace) together, you can get a discount. (6% off!) Also, if you book 3 days in advance, you can get an additional 15% off.

By purchasing a Train & Bus Ticket
You can ride the train between Lisbon and Sintra, and the buses (434 and 435) in Sintra (unlimited rides).
