Northern Europe: A Journey Through Frozen Beauty

When I think of Northern Europe, the first image that comes to mind is the aurora borealis swirling across a dark winter sky. Standing in silence under the dancing lights of the Arctic Circle was one of the most humbling experiences of my travels.
My journey began in Iceland, where glaciers and volcanic landscapes created a surreal contrast. The Blue Lagoon’s warm, mineral-rich waters felt like heaven after a day of exploring frozen waterfalls.
Next, I flew to Norway, where the fjords stole my heart. Cruising through Geirangerfjord, surrounded by snow-dusted cliffs, was like drifting through a fantasy novel. Oslo’s modern museums blended seamlessly with the country’s wild natural beauty.
In Finland, I stayed in a glass igloo in Lapland. Falling asleep under a starry sky and waking up to reindeer wandering outside my window was pure magic. I even tried traditional Finnish sauna culture, followed by a daring plunge into icy waters—shockingly refreshing!
Finally, I ended in Denmark, where the colorful harbor of Nyhavn in Copenhagen was the perfect contrast to the Arctic wilderness. Cozy cafés served steaming cups of mulled wine, and I indulged in Danish pastries that melted in my mouth.
