Spectacular Scenery on the Valley and Lake Trail

Hiking Adventure in Spain's Central Plateau ~ Cuenca (Region)
This circular route around the town of Uña in the Cuenca mountain range spans approximately 9 kilometers. We visited last summer, and it was one of the best experiences of the trip.
You can park your car at the entrance of the town. The route is perfectly marked along the way, so you won’t get lost.
Starting from the direction of 'El Escalerón,' the trail begins with a relatively pleasant climb. The rest of the route is generally smooth until you descend again through the 'La Raya' area, a narrow canyon nestled between rock walls that offers a unique landscape.
Along the way, you’ll find several viewpoints where you can enjoy panoramic views of the town and its lakes. The trail boasts spectacular scenery, surrounded by vegetation and wildlife. We were lucky enough to spot vultures in flight.
We visited during a summer weekday and didn’t encounter many people, except at the start of the route. If you want to fully enjoy the scenery, it’s recommended to bring water and snacks, as the entire hike takes about 3-4 hours.
