The West Daegu Express Bus Station in Daegu looks like this.

An explanation of Korea's transportation system!

In addition to the KTX (similar to the Shinkansen), Korea also frequently uses express buses for long-distance travel!

The only option between Daegu and Gwangju is the express bus, which takes just 3 hours!

Seodaegu Station doesn't have any monitors or anything, and the toilets often don't have paper.

There's no place to eat, and there's no supermarket nearby. ㅠㅠ

There used to be an E-Mart convenience store, but it's gone out of business...

There's an outlet at a nearby unmanned cafe, so be sure to bring a power outlet with you and charge your devices instead of just using a USB! (About a 3-minute walk)

The bus stops at Seodaegu Station are also pretty random, so if you're not careful, the bus might depart on its own and you might miss your stop!

If you do use the bus,
I recommend using the restroom beforehand.

If you're at a monorail station, I recommend buying food or other items to eat or bringing them with you before boarding!

By the way, there are three types of express buses in Korea:
Regular
Express
Premium!

The differences are quite stark,
e.g., seats!

Regular is a completely normal bus,
Express has only three seats per row, divided into 2.1 seats,
and the seats are very plush, sofa-style,
and there's a place to charge your devices!

Premium has seats that recline almost to a bed-like position,
like first class or business class on an airplane,
and there's a curtain between the seats!

Each seat has a pull-out table
and a monitor!
You can mirror your phone and enjoy YouTube on the monitor!

Since it's a bus, it's half the price of the KTX,
and there's a restroom break every 3-4 hours!

You'll need to use the emergency room for about 10-15 minutes!

It's very comfortable, so I recommend it!
