Daegu has many famous alleyway tours themed around it. We took the #Modern Alleys route, which mostly features famous writers and historical figures. It felt like traveling back in time. A Korean man sitting next to me on a flight to Busan highly recommended Daegu, and I kind of understand their sentiment. He said Daegu is like Tainan, with its history and delicious food.

There's a hanok in front of me, and maybe a church around the corner. I thought it wouldn't take too long, but it actually took more than half a day. Luckily, the attractions are all very close together.

When we arrived at a celebrity's historic house, we spotted a photo developing machine and studied it for a while. A Korean man came and enthusiastically explained and helped. It turned out we had to post a photo on Instagram and upload it with a hashtag. The machine would capture the photos and print them for free. He enthusiastically typed in Korean on his phone, and we developed several photos in a row. It was so much fun! 😂

During this trip, I met many helpful Korean men, some of whom spoke decent English. Some people just speak Korean to themselves.

But the human touch is quite Tainan-esque, haha.
