Don't want the hassle of long journeys but still want to experience a desert vacation? The all-inclusive tour at Ordos Xiangshawan in Inner Mongolia is a great choice for group travelers and seniors.

Xiangshawan is located on the eastern side of the Kubuqi Desert in Ordos and is the largest desert tourism and leisure resort in China. It includes three resort islands and two leisure islands. Why are there islands in the desert? I guess it's because the desert is likened to a sea of sand, and the resorts on it are naturally considered islands.

It's surprising to see how developed Inner Mongolia's tourism industry is. Even in desert scenic spots, you can enjoy all-inclusive services, including camel rides, zip-lining, desert off-roading, sand sliding, and even performances and sand sculpture exhibitions.

It's fascinating and completely shatters my stereotypical view of deserts. It turns out that deserts can be as relaxing as a vacation.
