I had breakfast at Yum Cha House Dim Sum in Ipoh, and it was a lively way to start the day. The place was buzzing with families and locals enjoying their morning yum cha, and the trays of dim sum kept coming.

I tried the siew mai, har gow, char siew pau, and a few fried items. The highlight for me was the yam puff—crispy outside, soft and flavourful inside, with that rich pork filling. The Portuguese egg tart was also a nice sweet ending, creamy and not overly sweet. Portion sizes were bigger than usual dim sum places, so a few dishes were already quite filling.

Overall, it felt like a hearty, satisfying breakfast. A little more pricey compared to older dim sum shops in Ipoh, but the taste and portion made up for it.
