Yunnan | Nanzhao Folk Island, Erhai ferry ride to experience Nanzhao culture.

Nanzhao Folk Island, a poetic name, is a small limestone island by Erhai Lake. Taking a ferry to the island gives a vibe similar to Sun Moon Lake. The island is not large, and there aren't many attractions, so you can explore it in about an hour.

On the island, there is a 17.56-meter-tall white marble Guanyin statue, along with various uniquely styled inns that are quite beautiful. Other attractions include Lock Dragon Cave, Pastoral Flower Pavilion, Dragon Ditch, Nine Springs Reflection, Snow Joy Pavilion, Yu Gui Lake, Layered Waterfall, Moon Gazing Pavilion, and Snail Ancestor Stone.

The island also features a man-made beach, which is a great spot to view Erhai Lake. Many people come here to take wedding photos.
