Shuanglang Ancient Town is a narrow town located on the northeastern shore of Erhai Lake, directly facing Cangshan Mountain. The town is lined with unique guesthouses and restaurants along the coast, making it an ideal spot for photography and sightseeing.

The ancient town is connected by a 3-kilometer-long Ethnic Culture Street, featuring numerous specialty shops, restaurants, and creative boutiques, perfect for leisurely exploration. If you get tired, you can spend 10 RMB to take an electric cart for a convenient ride.

Every ancient town in Yunnan has a traditional opera stage, and Shuanglang Ancient Town is no exception. Its old opera stage hosts performances by opera troupes from the first to the third day of the Lunar New Year, while on regular days, it serves as a gathering place for villagers to play cards and socialize.

For those who want to enjoy the lake, head to the southernmost part of the town to Haijie Street, where the clear and expansive Erhai Lake awaits. You can also take a boat trip to Yuji Island or Nanshao Style Island for a half-day excursion.
