Before coming to Dali, I always imagined finding a place where I could embrace the Cangshan Mountains and fall asleep by Erhai Lake. I never expected this homestay to completely fulfill that dream!
The homestay is hidden in Longkan Pier Village in Dali. The moment you step inside, you are amazed — the Bai-style old house with its blue tiles and white walls retains the authentic rustic charm, while the courtyard is full of life. Succulents of varying heights crowd the windowsills, bougainvillea climbs freely along the wooden trellis, and tiny flowers sprout from the cracks in the stone path. Every corner looks like a carefully designed photo frame, and every snapshot is a healing masterpiece.
The scenic room I stayed in was absolutely stunning! The entire floor-to-ceiling window brings the lush green of Cangshan and the clear sky directly into the room. Waking up to the sunlight in the morning, lying in bed, you can see the mist slowly drifting among the mountains, as if stepping into an ink painting. The room’s decor is also very thoughtful, with natural wood furniture paired with cotton and linen bedding, exuding a subtle natural vibe. Even the ornaments have an artistic feel, perfectly matching my aesthetic!
During the day, sitting in the courtyard, feeling the breeze from Erhai Lake, listening to the occasional sounds from the distant village, sipping local Pu'er tea, basking in the sun and reading a book, time seems to slow down. At night, it’s even more romantic—turn off the lights, lie on the lounge chair on the terrace, and look up at the star-filled sky. Even your breathing feels especially relaxed.
Life here has no rushed itinerary, only leisurely comfort. In the early morning, watch locals pass by and greet you in the courtyard; in the afternoon, daydream facing Cangshan from your room; in the evening, go to the terrace to wait for a breathtaking sunset. This is the slow life that Dali should have! If you come to Dali, you must stay at this homestay and experience a seclusion you never want to leave~
