Erhai Lake, Dali

Located not far from Dali's famous old town and the Three Pagodas, Erhai Lake is a must-visit attraction if you come to this area. Set amongst various mountains, the lake is shrouded in an early-morning mist, that dissipates to show it's true size. You can drive around the lake, although be aware it is a long drive....or more simply just take a nice walk along it's banks. We arrived mid-afternoon, a nice time to sit down and have a cold beer at a small cafe. There are various places to eat and drink along the banks of the lake. Alas, it is a great place to take photos and videos of wildlife and scenery too. The lake is like a giant mirror reflecting the light of the sky. All in all, I highly recommend to visit here....even if it's just for a short time.
