This Starbucks is located on Ninenzaka, the slope leading to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, in a former Japanese-style machiya building over 100 years old. To blend in with the historic surroundings, the shop has been meticulously renovated while preserving its traditional architectural style. The exterior features a wooden sign, while the interior includes tatami seating areas, allowing customers to experience the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese teahouse while enjoying their coffee.
