Beautiful Balat

Spent the day exploring the charming streets of Balat — one of Istanbul’s most vibrant and historic neighbourhoods. Every corner is full of color, from pastel-painted houses to bold street art that turns the alleys into an open-air gallery.

We stopped for a traditional Turkish coffee (strong, rich, and perfectly bitter!) and shared a slice of San Sebastián cheesecake — creamy, caramelized perfection 😋.

After that, we wandered through the local handicraft shops, filled with ceramics, textiles, and handmade treasures. Balat really feels like a blend of old Istanbul and new creative energy — definitely worth spending a slow afternoon here. 💛
