Dalian Laojie 大连老街
Contrary to its name, Dalian Laojie is not a traditional street, but rather a place closer to a food alley or a night market. The street itself is not very wide, and the shops are crowded together, so it felt a bit complicated overall. When we visited, it was the off-season, so there weren't many people floating around, and it was hard to tell whether the people on the street were tourists or locals. There were more practical shops than traditional-style buildings, and some were restaurants selling simple food. There were no food stalls, and most of the shops were located indoors. There were no particularly impressive buildings or relics, but it was a good place to enjoy a light snack or meal while walking around. It felt a little more lively in the evening when the lights came on than during the day.
