With the arrival of midsummer, seaside travel in Dalian has entered the peak season. If you happen to be visiting Donggang, this nanny-level guide from a local travel blogger will basically give you a complete understanding in one read.

🚇Transportation
You can choose between Donggang and Conference Center metro stations. Donggang Station is slightly closer to the end side of Venice Water City, while Conference Center Station is closer to the side of Donggang Music Fountain. You can take a taxi and set your destination freely. I usually book near Our Bakery.

📌Tips
1️⃣There is no shade at Donggang seaside in summer, so be sure to protect yourself from the sun. It’s best to bring both sunglasses and a hat.
2️⃣There are also some great food and coffee spots near Donggang that I recommend: Xiding Sea Urchin Dumplings, Yijing Seafood, Wherewhere, Haodou Coffee, Neibo, and the buffet at Hengli Hotel.
3️⃣Be careful when feeding seagulls, and you can prepare some bread 🥖 yourself. If you want a quieter experience, you can visit the World Music Culture Museum.
4️⃣At night, besides the music fountain, there is a supporting light show. Standing at the Conference Center watching the cluster of tall buildings offers an unforgettable light and shadow experience.
