Dalian, Liaoning Travel Guide|You Must Visit Dalian This Summer

Dalian is truly an underrated treasure city, rich in food, drink, and entertainment! I just got back from Dalian and can't help but share my personal experience and some tips covering dining, accommodation, and transportation, hoping to help everyone.

⏱️Best Time to Visit
May-October: Pleasant climate, perfect for seaside activities, with an average summer temperature around 25℃, a great summer retreat.
September-October: Crisp autumn air, delicious seafood, ideal for tasting authentic seafood.
Winter (December-February): You can experience ice and snow activities, but the sea breeze is strong, so keep warm.

Recommended Attractions
✅Zhongshan Square: Magnificent European-style architecture + night views, giving a fleeting illusion of Shanghai’s Bund.
✅Fisherman’s Wharf: Visit in the morning to enjoy fresh seafood, many fishing boats, and numerous seagulls circling overhead.
✅Russian Style Street: The Russian-style old buildings on both sides of the street were built over 100 years ago, making you feel like you’re in Russia.
✅Silver Beach: The water is very clear and blue, comparable to Jeju Island. Watching the sunset here is super relaxing.
✅Lüshun Museum: Enter directly with ID, featuring a main hall and an annex. The main hall has a strong historical atmosphere, and both halls have about 10 stamps.
✅Baiyu Mountain: The Baiyu Mountain Tower is a landmark here. Standing next to the tower, you can see the entire Lüshun Port and both the new and old city areas.

🚶Itinerary Planning
Day 1: Binhai Peninsula Tour — Venice Water City — Sunshine Impression — Binhai Road — Fisherman’s Wharf — Baiyun Yan Lotus Mountain — Xinghai Square
Day 2: Lüshunkou — Cross-sea Bridge — Museum Garden Scenic Area — Russian Miniature Train Station — Lüshun History Museum

Travel Tips
1. Check the weather in advance on the day you go to the beach; the sea looks completely different on sunny and cloudy days!
2. Sun protection: Coastal cities have strong UV rays, so be sure to protect yourself. The weather in Dalian is very comfortable now, perfect for city walks.
3. For those wanting to see Lüshun’s night view, enter the park after 6 PM to enjoy free admission and the beautiful lights of Lüshun at dusk — it’s simply amazing!

Practical Information
🚄Transportation: Dalian Station is in the city center; Dalian North Station is convenient for the subway; Zhoushuizi Airport is directly connected to the subway via Line 2.
🏘️Accommodation: You can choose to stay near Xinghai Square, which is convenient for dining and lodging, close to the Red Wharf, easy to get around, and offers sea views.
🍣Food: Dalian’s cuisine is uniquely flavorful. Seaweed buns have delicious fillings wrapped in soft dough, with a taste full of the sea; Menzi is crispy outside and tender inside, paired with special sauce for a rich flavor. Also, if Dalian’s Japanese cuisine ranks second nationwide, no one dares to claim first. With excellent cost performance, you can enjoy exquisite Japanese dishes just like in Japan.
