On a business trip to Dalian, the only hotel I stayed at three times is this one!

During my stay at Hyatt Regency Dalian, the weather was clear, the sea view was breathtaking, and I also encountered stunning morning glow and sunset. The room experience was slightly more comfortable than the Castle Hotel, and the large floor-to-ceiling windows offered even better views.

📍Location:
The hotel is located in the heart of Xinghai Square, directly facing Xinghai Bay Bridge. You can go straight from the lobby down to the first floor to reach the seaside. However, there is a small downside to this location: it’s easy to get stuck in traffic when taking a taxi around Xinghai Square in the evening; in contrast, the Castle Hotel, just over a kilometer away, offers smoother taxi rides.

🧹Soundproofing/Cleanliness:
The room cleanliness could be improved, with some incomplete cleaning on the desk, which is a bit disappointing.

🏘️Room Type/Layout:
The room features a simple modern style, with the bathroom area separated by sliding doors and a reasonable layout. Some rooms offer sea views covering Xinghai Square, and like the Castle Hotel, you can see the brightly lit seaside amusement park at night.

🛌Amenities/Facilities:
The room is equipped with a smart toilet and electric curtains, and the toiletries are from the Balmain brand, ensuring quality. However, the chair is somewhat worn. The public area design is impressive: the lobby is on the 2nd floor with a high ceiling and spacious feel, decorated with rich marine elements; the 4th floor has a small terrace outside the pool and restaurant, a great spot to watch the sunset, though the area is a bit small; the pool has excellent lighting and faces the sea directly.

💗Other Tips:
The 2nd-floor lobby, 4th-floor terrace, and pool are all great spots to enjoy the sea view and sunset; the large floor-to-ceiling windows in the rooms offer wide views, perfect for admiring Xinghai Bay Bridge and Xinghai Square; be aware that the area around Xinghai Square tends to be congested in the evening, so plan your trips in advance.

Summary:
Hyatt Regency Dalian, with its prime location in Xinghai Square and excellent sea views, is a top choice for scenic views, especially the morning glow and sunset. The rooms are comfortable, and the public areas incorporate marine elements with distinctive features. Although there are some issues with cleanliness details, some outdated facilities, and evening taxi congestion, the overall experience is good. It has its own advantages compared to the Castle Hotel and is suitable for travelers seeking a sea view experience.
