Dalian Dongfang Shuicheng, the Venice of the East, a walk along the waterways

#OctoberTravelSupport

Dalian's Dongfang Shuicheng (东方水城) is an artificial water city modeled after the beautiful canals of Venice, Italy. It's also nicknamed the "Venice of the East."

Rounding a 4km-long artificial canal, it's lined with buildings reminiscent of famous European structures like the Tower of Babel and St. Mark's Campanile, creating a unique European atmosphere!

You can take a gondola ride along the canal, but the water is drained and the canal is closed in winter, so please check before visiting.

When I visited, it wasn't open that time, so there weren't many people and it was quiet, but the buildings were still beautiful!

During the gondola operation, the lights are beautifully lit up at night, making it a great place to enjoy the night view!

📍 Location: North Section of Benhai Road, Dalian, Zhongshan, Liaoning, China
