Only 4 hours from Colombo—definitely worth an overnight stay!
Climbing can be tough, and the summit has no shade, so I highly recommend visiting early in the morning to beat the heat.

Many licensed guides are available inside—I strongly suggest hiring one!
I paid LKR 7,000 (with my Sri Lankan husband, so solo travelers may pay more).
We got a 3-hour tour and zero regrets—our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and ensured we didn’t miss any hidden gems.
