This Sri Lankan heritage hotel is, in my opinion, severely underrated – I truly don't understand why online photos do it no justice! They completely fail to capture its real beauty, especially the harmonious way it's organically integrated into its lush, well-preserved natural surroundings. Who else understands the sheer tranquility of having a flock of egrets casually strolling by while you enjoy breakfast in the morning? 🦢

The tables and chairs nestled under the massive trees create an incredible ambiance, whether it's day or night. And the pool? It's like a mirror reflecting the jungle, completely enveloped in greenery. Every window in the room offers beautiful views – you're just immersed in nature!

Food: This time, the restaurant was a complete hit! Since both breakfast and dinner were buffets, there was no waiting, and the selection was wonderfully diverse. The taste was back to excellent standards. What an unexpected and delightful surprise to even find mapo tofu – a taste of home! 🍲
Location & Vibe: It's conveniently located about 6 kilometers from the city, not far at all, especially considering it's right in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage site. While this particular Jetwing property isn't a Bawa design, it perfectly continues that style of modern minimalism blended seamlessly with nature. This experience has truly made me fall in love with heritage hotels!
