Although Evergrande has unfinished projects, Ocean Flower Island is still quite nice

🧀Before visiting, I saw many people complaining about Ocean Flower Island and was quite worried. However, after experiencing it, the overall experience was actually good. So this isn't exactly a warning guide➡just some points to note

🗺Location: Ocean Flower Island is in Danzhou, divided into Islands 1/2/3. As tourists, you only need to visit Island 1👌 Islands 2/3 are residential areas

🚗Transportation:
1️⃣Recommended to drive yourself - many free parking spots on the island, and entry is free
2️⃣For those who can't drive, see the mini train in photo 2. Before 6pm: 60 yuan/person for unlimited rides; after 6pm: 30 yuan/person for unlimited rides; single ride: 20 yuan. Many stops available, boarding only at designated stations. Takes about 40 minutes from start to finish (the island isn't that big, but the train is slow and takes indirect routes)
3️⃣Electric cart: 20 yuan/ride, stops on demand, no unlimited rides, direct to destination
4️⃣Taxi/walking - transportation on the island is quite convenient. Outside vehicles can enter. Even walking is manageable, except for the Sunset Park section, the island isn't as big as imagined
⚠️Note the difference between mini train🚆and electric cart - different pricing, mini train route is longer

🧭Recommended route:
10am Ocean Park (detailed guide on homepage)
➡4pm exit park, photos 5-8
➡Visit the unfinished Children's World, photo 9 (great for photos!!)
➡Walk to the food street (near outlets, reasonably priced food, not tourist prices, safe to eat, mix of big brands and affordable options)
➡Before 6pm visit Museum 2 for exhibitions, photo 4
➡After 6pm take mini train to Sunset Park, photos 10-13 (check sunset time in advance)
➡Mini train to Wedding Chapel station photos 14-15 (light show starts at 8pm, arrive early for good spots, or shop at nearby outlets while waiting)

❗️Other notes:
1️⃣Last train from other stations is 10pm, but Sunset Park's last train is 7pm➡when photographing sunset, remember to check if it's the last train
2️⃣Besides Museum 2, other exhibition halls charge admission but aren't great value
3️⃣Water park opposite Ocean Park is NOT operating!!
4️⃣Can't enter Children's World for exploration now, only photos from outside. Online mentioned performances only happen during Lunar New Year, no longer available
5️⃣Wedding Manor stop isn't where you watch the light show, need to walk about 300m further. Chapel alone isn't photogenic, get spots near the sculptures for better photos
6️⃣Two hotels🏨on Island 1, both have good accommodations and are landmarks. Those wanting convenience can stay on Ocean Flower Island
7️⃣Twin Beach has water activities, good for watching sunrise
