Huizhou Dongpo Shrine is an important site commemorating Su Dongpo.

• Located at No. 45-2 Binjiang East Road, Huicheng District, Huizhou City, it is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, closed on Mondays (except public holidays), and admission is free. Recommended visit time is 2-3 hours.

• Transportation guide: Take bus routes 2, 5, etc., which go directly to the "Dongpo Shrine" stop; for self-driving visitors, there are marked parking spaces along the road near the scenic area, but parking fees apply.

• Must-see attractions: The entrance plaza features a statue of Dongpo Jushi and a relief wall; Zhai Confucius’s House and Lin Po’s Wine House recreate the market scenes of the past; the main buildings of Dongpo Shrine include the main gate, courtyard, Dongpo Well, Deyoulin Hall, Dongpo Academy, Siwuxie Studio, Chisu Pavilion, Dongpo’s Residence, each with unique characteristics; the Dongpo Memorial Hall adjacent to the shrine has two special exhibitions that comprehensively display the heritage of Dongpo’s time in Huizhou.

• Photo spots: The red walls of Dongpo Academy are perfect for taking ancient-style photos, the rustic architecture of Chisu Pavilion combined with surrounding greenery makes for great photos, and beside Dongpo Well you can capture artistic and historically rich vibes.
