Introduction to Ganzi
Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture is located in the western part of Sichuan Province, on the southeastern edge of the Kham-Tibetan Plateau. It is a prefecture-level administrative region primarily inhabited by the Tibetan ethnic group, commonly known as the Kham region or Kham, and is the main body and core area of the second-largest Tibetan region in China—Kham. This is the homeland of love songs, the birthplace of Khampa culture, the hometown of King Gesar, and the core area of Shangri-La. Within its borders lie the Hengduan Mountain Range, the Shaluli and Daxue Mountain Ranges, as well as three major rivers: the Jinsha, Yalong, and Dadu Rivers. Rich in both natural and cultural resources, it boasts famous scenic areas such as Daocheng Yading, the Kangding Love Song Scenic Area, and the Mozi Stone Park Scenic Area.
