A Journey from Shangri-La to Yading

The long journey from Shangri-La in Yunnan Province to Yading, known as the last Shangri-La in Sichuan Province.

The bus journey from Shangri-La to Yading operates only once a day and takes about 6 to 8 hours depending on road and weather conditions.

Most of the passengers on the bus are locals, with a few tourists mixed in.

The bus departs quite punctually and stops for lunch at a small shop where you can buy snacks or instant noodles. The stop lasts about 20 minutes.

The journey continues with another stop for passengers heading to Daocheng to change buses.

Finally, the bus arrives at the Xiaoshangri-La or Riwa bus station.

You can purchase tickets in advance for your return trip to Shangri-La.
