As one of the world's highest civilian airports (4,411 meters above sea level), this is a key entry point to Daocheng Yading. Be extra cautious of altitude sickness for first-timers. 🌬️

📍Transportation Guide:

• Airport Bus: Direct to Daocheng County (approximately 1.5 hours) and Shangri-La Town (approximately 2.5 hours). Buses connect with flights, with fares of 50 and 80 yuan, respectively.

• Self-Drive/Chartered Car: Regular vehicles are available in the airport parking lot. The fare to Shangri-La Town is approximately 300 yuan, allowing for flexible travel arrangements.

⚠️Important Notes:

1. Altitude Sickness Prevention: Oxygen tanks are available for sale in the airport terminal (20-30 yuan/can). Avoid running or showering upon arrival. Consider taking Rhodiola rosea beforehand.

2. Clothing: The airport is at a high altitude, and temperatures can drop even in summer, so it's recommended to bring a light jacket and hat.

3. Timeline: If traveling directly to the Yading Scenic Area, it's recommended to stay overnight in Shangri-La Town to acclimate to the altitude sickness, then enter the scenic area the next day.
