Daqing Paleontology Museum

Having lived in Daqing for many years, I never really explored the city. This time, I visited several places and found that the place I used to live in is quite fun. Have you ever visited the museums and tourist attractions near your home?

I highly recommend visiting the Daqing Museum. It mainly displays ancient exhibits, such as a large number of mammoth, giant deer, and bison skeletons. At first, I thought they were fake, but the tour guide told me they were real. The museum has a collection of hundreds of thousands of skeletons, which cannot all be displayed here.

The rich archaeological finds remind me of the city of oil. It turns out that in ancient times, there was a huge lake between Changbai Mountain and the Greater Khingan Range, and Harbin, Changchun, and Shenyang were all in the lake. Daqing is located in the center, where the sediments accumulated and transformed into rich oil resources over 50 million years.

​The world's most complete ancient ice wolf skeleton is also here. It's a great place to take kids to learn something new. There are many things that even adults don't know.
