Today, we'll first visit the mighty Yanmen Pass to experience the grandeur of this ancient military fortress; then head to Yingxian to see one of the world's three most extraordinary pagodas, the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda; finally, arrive at Yungang Grottoes to discover the splendor of thousand-year-old Buddhist art.
D3: Hanging Temple—Mount Wutai—Wuye Temple
At the Hanging Temple, we'll experience a unique monastery built into a cliff face; then proceed to Mount Wutai to appreciate the serenity and solemnity of this Buddhist holy land; finally, visit Wuye Temple to feel its ancient mystique.
D4: Jinci Museum—Qiao Family Compound
