What an incredible time exploring Datong in Shanxi Province! This city truly offers a deep dive into history and culture.

My top highlights:

The Hanging Temple: Imagine a temple built into a cliff 1500 years ago! Hiking up to it was an adventure, and navigating the super narrow walkways inside made it even more memorable. Such an amazing experience!

Yungang Grottoes: Stepping into these caves, you're surrounded by 1500 years of Buddhist art. It's one of the oldest collections out there, and you can really feel the stories and teachings embedded in those ancient statues.
