Meizhou Island | Encounter an island romance under the blessing of Mazu💕

🌅Before coming here, my impression of Meizhou Island was only about Mazu culture. After coming here, I found that this is an underestimated treasure tourist destination!

🌟Attractions:

• Mazu Ancestral Temple: A holy place for Mazu believers around the world, with red walls, green tiles, flying eaves and brackets, it is solemn and majestic. Walking in it, looking at the curling green smoke and listening to the devout prayers of the believers, a feeling of awe arises in my heart. Here, you can also enjoy wonderful festival performances and feel the charm of traditional culture.

• Ewei Divine Stone Garden: The wonders of nature are displayed vividly here. There are reefs of various shapes, some look like eagles with spread wings, and some look like sleeping turtles. You can encounter surprises at every corner while strolling among them. Standing on the observation deck, overlooking the sea, feeling the sea breeze on your face, it is very comfortable.

• Golden Beach: The sand is so fine and soft that when you step on it barefoot, it feels like you are stepping on clouds. The sea water is crystal clear and sparkling under the sunlight. In the evening, the setting sun dyes the entire beach golden, as romantic as a movie scene.

🚗Transportation:
You can first arrive at Putian Station, and then take bus No. 363 to Wenjia Wharf. The fare is 9 yuan and the journey takes about 1 hour. You can also choose to take a taxi, which will be more expensive but more convenient and faster. After arriving at the pier, buy a boat ticket + island entrance ticket, a total of 125 yuan, and the boat ride takes about 20 minutes. Transportation on the island is very convenient. There are buses and sightseeing buses. You can also rent electric cars and travel freely between various attractions.

🍱 Food:

• Seafood: Since you are on the island, you must not miss the seafood. There are many seafood stalls near the farmers' market, and the prices are reasonable. We recommend trying the local specialties steamed grouper and salt and pepper mantis shrimp, which are delicious and authentic.

• Xitianwei Flatbread: A very popular shop. The flatbreads are thin in skin and big in filling. The soup is delicious and paired with a little bit of local special sauce. One bite will make you feel extremely happy.

• Jiabing Handmade Ice Shop: When you are tired of shopping, have a bowl of shaved ice. It is refreshing and delicious with the flavor of green grapes, fresh fruits, and smooth smoothies, which can instantly dispel the summer heat.

🏠Accommodation:
It is recommended to choose a homestay near the sea, where you can enjoy the beautiful sea view and facilitate travel. The room in the B&B we stayed in this time was clean and tidy, the owner was very welcoming and helped plan the itinerary.

💡Tips:

1. Pay attention to the weather in advance and choose to travel on a sunny day, so that the sea view will be more beautiful and the photos will be better.

2. There are many mosquitoes on the island, so remember to bring mosquito repellent.

3. When renting an electric car, be sure to check the condition and battery level of the vehicle to avoid running out of power on the way.

Meizhou Island has both profound cultural heritage and beautiful natural scenery, it is really worth a visit!
