Nestled at the foot of Moganshan Mountain, Qingli Homestay was crafted by a renowned design team with "wabi-sabi" as its soul, perfectly blending natural textures with modern minimalism. The architecture preserves original rammed earth walls and wooden structures, complemented by plain cement, wicker, and natural wood to create a space where ruggedness and warmth coexist.
Each room at Qingli offers a unique scenic perspective and design theme, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, private terraces or soaking pools, Bang & Olufsen sound systems, custom latex mattresses, and underfloor heating. Some suites include stargazing skylights or Japanese tatami tea rooms. Microcement walls, brass hardware, and linen fabrics, paired with furniture repurposed from local aged wood, create a warm tactile experience that breathes with nature.
Breakfast is served semi-buffet style, offering Moganshan specialties like bamboo shoot shumai, handmade rice cakes, and freshly ground soy milk, accompanied by seasonal fruits. Main meals feature "mountain fusion cuisine" such as bamboo forest chicken pot and secret sauce grilled reservoir fish, with ingredients sourced from nearby farmers and creatively prepared by the chef to showcase local flavors.
The SPA area offers essential oil massages and bamboo charcoal hot compresses using imported Japanese products. Guests can also experience morning tai chi/yoga classes, botanical dyeing workshops, and outdoor movie nights, with regular artist residencies hosting small salons.
Qingli is not just a place to stay, but an artistic mountain retreat that awakens all five senses—here, even the sound of wind passing through bamboo groves becomes part of the design.
