A Stroll Through Souq Waqif

Situated just off the Corniche near the Parliament building is Souq Waqif. Entry is free, and you can explore its labyrinth of narrow, dim alleyways hosting various traders, as well as open areas featuring cafes and restaurants. The restrooms are clearly marked and spotless. The inner alleys are a feast for the senses with spices and vividly colored fabrics, offering shade from the sun and a pleasantly cool escape. You truly feel like you've stepped back in time. Haggling is not only allowed but quite enjoyable. It's certainly worth spending a couple of hours here. Accessible for wheelchairs.
