Somsri has coffee, a riverside cafe in the middle of the forest, in the heart of the city. 🍃☕️

Som Sri Mee Kafae – A cafe in the middle of the forest by a stream.
Located in a zone where nature can still breathe. 🌲
As soon as you step inside, the sound of the waterfall and the aroma of coffee will make you know, "This is the cafe for the tired."

This natural cafe by the stream offers a very shady atmosphere. Located on the "Mae Kampong" route, between Ban Mae Lai and Tha Sadet, Mae On District, about 1-2 km from Mae Kampong Village, it's a perfect place to stop and rest before or after leaving the village.

Ambience & Seating Area
• The highlight is the stream flowing past the shop, with tables lined up along the stream. You can hear the sound of the water constantly.
• The upper area is a wooden house in the garden with many large trees, providing good shade for long periods of sitting without getting hot.
• Saturdays and Sundays are crowded from morning to afternoon. We recommend visiting early (before 10:00 AM) to secure a table by the water.

Drinks/Food
• A comprehensive beverage menu: coffee, tea, cocoa, juices, etc. (I ordered an Americano, which had a clean, refreshing taste that went well with the cool streamside air.)
• They offer savory dishes and easy-to-eat meals for families. Tourists can stop for a complete meal to recharge.

Who is it suitable for?
• Those who want photos/feel like a "forest cafe by the stream" without having to drive deep into Mae Kampong Village.
• Families and friends who want to relax and listen to the sound of the water, stopping along the way.

Tips for a fun experience:
• Slip-resistant shoes/sandals are more comfortable for walking along the stream.
• Popular riverside tables. Arrive early or wait in line.
• During the rainy season, water levels may be high/the walkway is slippery, so be extra careful when taking photos.

Getting there & Parking:
• Same route as Mae Kampong, approximately 1-1.5 hours from Chiang Mai city.
• Pin "Somsee Mee Kafe" – Ban Mae Lai/Tha Sadet area.
• Parking available in front of the shop/on the side of the road (parking was convenient on the day we visited).

Budget:
• Drinks and food are at standard tourist rates. Share the benefits of a trip with multiple people.

A super chill break spot on the way up to Mae Kampong. Beautiful stream views and the sound of water are incredibly refreshing. If you're passing this route, stop by "Somsee Mee Kafe." You won't be disappointed! 🌿☕️
