The first Banyan Tree in Guangdong. I was a bit worried after reading the mixed reviews online, but it didn't disappoint.
[Environment] The lobby has a pleasant sandalwood aroma that makes you feel relaxed.
The outdoor pool is nice, but unfortunately it was closed due to rain.
The hotel has a Lingnan courtyard style. The room card is also special, made of wood with Dongguan features.
[Dining] The breakfast buffet is great. I love the Thai milk tea, sparkling wine, congee, and rice rolls.
The afternoon tea is delicate. There aren't many options, but enough for a coffee addict like me.
[Facilities] The room has a hot spring pool, which is great for kids.
The kids' play area is small and only suitable for young children, which is a bit of a downside.
[Service] I avoided the weekend peak, so the front desk staff upgraded me to a deluxe lake view room for free.
The turndown service includes aromatherapy and sandalwood, which is gentle and pleasant. I love the scent.
The staff are all friendly and helpful.
[Surroundings] The hotel is within walking distance of Science Park.
