From the sea to caves to the windy hills! A day trip that captures all the emotions of the East Sea.

1. Gamchu Beach & Hanseom Emotional Sea Road: Where Leisure and Romance Coexist
Our trip began at the cozy Gamchu Beach. Unlike the crowded large beaches, we enjoyed the clear waters of the East Sea in a cozy and peaceful atmosphere.
After a pleasant time at the beach, we walked along the adjacent Hanseom Emotional Sea Road. The walk, filled with the rich scent of pine trees and the cool sea breeze, was truly healing! The ocean views between the pine trees and the bizarre rock formations, especially the colorful tetrapods in the small harbor, created a fairytale-like scene.
2. Cheongok Golden Bat Cave: A Mysterious World in the City
After our coastal stroll, we headed to Cheongok Golden Bat Cave, another unexpected attraction of the East Sea. It was truly fascinating to see that it's Korea's only cave in the city. Stepping inside the cool cave, we were greeted by a spectacular display of stalactites and stalagmites, formed over hundreds of millions of years, revealing the mysteries of an underground world. It was a special experience that not only relieved the heat but also allowed me to experience the grandeur of nature.
3. Breathtaking Scenery: Windy Hill
The final stop was Windy Hill, offering a panoramic view of the East Sea. Located by climbing along the Mukho Lighthouse and Nongoldamgil Trail, you can enjoy the cool breeze and the endless expanse of the East Sea and the charming port town. It was a thrilling moment, truly understanding why it's called "Windy Hill."
From swimming in the azure sea to exploring mysterious caves and taking in the panoramic views from the hilltop, Donghae City truly offers a diverse array of attractions. Why not take a trip to the East Sea and experience it all in one day? #DonghaeTravel #SummerVacation
