The Dream of Yuanmingyuan Comes to Life Here. You can't miss Yuanmingyuan when you come to Hengdian. I had no expectations before entering, thinking it might be a tacky imitation, but I was truly amazed once inside. The 30 billion spent by the boss was well worth it~
The 'Garden of All Gardens' summer palace is replicated based on the map of the ruins of Yuanmingyuan, with the grand and spectacular architecture of various nations meticulously restored. The construction is far from hasty; the timber and brick walls, the pruned trees and horticulture, the exquisite fountains... There are very few tourists during the holidays, only about twenty or thirty in the garden, but the numerous large and small fountains are all in full operation. The grounds are clean, and the lake water is crystal clear. There are some NPCs dressed as people from the palace who guide you through the historical elegance.
The twelve zodiac animal heads, the Grand Waterworks, the Harmonious Interests, the Linear Bridge, the Haiyan Hall, the Yuan Ying Observatory, the Viewing Water Law, and other landscapes and courtyards seen in books are all presented one by one. There are also some new European-style landmark buildings that are quite characteristic of Hengdian~
It's very photogenic; you can easily snap hundreds of pictures. It's a great place for shooting, just a little color adjustment and a filter, and the texture comes alive. After a while, I was too tired to keep shooting.
At the entrance, you can choose to wear a European-style dress, but it's too cold in winter, so I gave up.
This place has not been used as a film location yet, looking forward to future film and TV works themed around Yuanmingyuan.
