Ming and Qing Palace

The Ming and Qing Palace is located on Huancheng North Road, Hengdian Town, Dongyang City, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. It is one of the five sub-scenic areas of Hengdian World Studios. It is a scenic area integrating film and television shooting, sightseeing, festivals, and ceremonies. The Ming and Qing Palace is modeled after the architectural style of the Ming and Qing dynasties, with the unique construction methods of Hengdian World Studios, imitating the rituals of the Tang, Song, and Yuan dynasties, and incorporating the architectural style of the Republic of China. It brings together four architectural series of Beijing palaces, royal gardens, princely mansions, and hutong houses, concentrating the essence of ancient buildings such as the Forbidden City palaces, royal gardens, princely mansions, temple markets, and hutong houses, reproducing the style of Yanjing in many historical periods. The scenic area has many historical landscapes such as Qipan Street, Chengtianmen Square, Qianbu Corridor, Wenwu Platform, Jinshui River, and Yudai Bridge. The Ming and Qing Palace was built in 1998 and completed in 2006. It was built according to a 1:1 scale of the Forbidden City in Beijing and is the pinnacle of the city-building movement of Hengdian World Studios. More than 100 film and television blockbusters such as "Chinese Odyssey 2002", "Curse of the Golden Flower", "War and Beauty", and "The Deer and the Cauldron" were filmed here. With the popularity of palace dramas, the Ming and Qing Palace has attracted many film crews. Popular dramas such as "Palace", "Empresses in the Palace", "Scarlet Heart", "Mystery in the Palace", "Palace II", "Story of Yanxi Palace", and "Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace" were all filmed here. You can see the busy figures of stars and actors filming everywhere. The Ming and Qing Palace is a national 5A-level scenic area.

Tickets are required for admission, priced at CNY 180. Electric vehicles are available for rent. The visit takes 1 to 3 hours.
