In Dongying, check in at Swan Lake Wetland!!!
The Swan Lake Flood Storage and Detention Project is located in the southeast of Dongying's central city, covering an area of about 40 square kilometers. It is divided into two flood storage and detention areas, north and south, with a total flood storage capacity of 42 million cubic meters. The project is divided into three stages: flood storage and detention project construction, wetland construction, and cultural tourism project construction. Dongying creatively applied the new concept of "Five Waters Management" to the entire project planning and construction, further consolidating the foundation for lasting water safety, high-quality water resources, healthy water ecology, livable water environment, and distinctive water culture. Especially in the construction of the project, water culture elements were added. Dongying strengthened landscape design, integrating water culture construction and advanced water management concepts into the planning, design, construction, and management of the project. New landscapes such as a hundred-acre lotus pond, a thousand-acre reed island, flower sea, and lakeside lawn were built to enhance the city's charm. At the same time, it coordinated flood storage and ecological leisure, leveraging the advantages of wetland water areas to develop waterfront leisure and ecological recreation, expanding projects such as wetland sightseeing and entertainment, wetland farming experience, and wetland cultural experience, actively integrating into industrial development.
The Swan Lake Flood Storage and Detention Project is an important measure for Dongying to solve urban waterlogging, beautify the urban environment, and create a 'wetland in the city, city in the wetland'. It also makes a positive contribution to protecting biodiversity and optimizing the ecological environment.
