The gardens at Drottningholm Palace were my favorite part of the visit. The baroque parterre with its symmetrical hedges, fountains, and statues was breathtaking, while the English garden further away felt more natural and romantic, with winding paths and ponds. I spent hours just strolling and soaking up the atmosphere. The Chinese Pavilion, tucked into the grounds, was another highlight — a whimsical and colorful building that reflected Sweden’s fascination with the exotic during the 18th century. It added variety and charm to the estate. The gardens alone are worth a visit, and they change beautifully with the seasons.
