What impressed me most about Drottningholm Palace was its blend of royal grandeur and accessibility. Unlike some palaces that feel distant and untouchable, Drottningholm welcomes visitors into its history while still functioning as the royal family’s home. The interiors were magnificent, filled with art, gilding, and history, but the grounds were open and relaxed, inviting you to linger. The Chinese Pavilion and the theatre added variety, making the visit rich and layered. For me, Drottningholm was not just a palace but a complete cultural experience — architecture, art, gardens, and history, all in one place.
