Al Seef, a re-creation of Dubai's old streets, is a recommended spot for experiencing Dubai's history and culture.
📍Traditional Architecture Area: The impressive buildings, faithfully recreated to resemble Dubai's 1940s cityscape, are a sight to behold. Traditional Arabian windmills (barjeel) and stone buildings line the streets, recreating the atmosphere of a merchant district of that time.
If possible, visit the Old Souk across the street (and take a boat to the market, where gold is plentiful, for just 1 AED!)
🛍️Cultural Experience Spot: At traditional craft stores, you can experience Dubai's traditional culture, including handmade pottery, textiles, and perfume. You can also try on Arabic calligraphy and traditional costumes.
🚤Promenade Along Dubai Creek: The 1.8km waterfront promenade offers a beautiful contrast with Dubai's Old Town across the river.
🍽️ Gourmet Area: Over 20 restaurants and cafes offering everything from Emirati to international cuisine.
It's a 20-minute walk from Burjuman Station on the Dubai Metro Red Line. Open from 10:00 AM to midnight (until 2:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays). It's also close to the airport.
