Dubrovnik - possibly the most beautiful walled city in the world?

Dubrovnik was one of the most unforgettable stops on our cruise. The ship docks just a short drive from the Old City, and walking through its ancient gates feels like stepping straight into history. We spent the day wandering the cobbled streets, exploring little lanes lined with stone houses, and soaking up the views from the famous City Walls. The climb is totally worth it — every turn gives you a postcard-perfect view of terracotta rooftops and the Adriatic below.
We stopped at Captain Candy for colourful treats, popped into the Hard Rock Café for a drink, and found a small museum tucked away in the old town — a quiet break from the afternoon sun. Dubrovnik is compact, easy to explore on foot, and full of atmosphere, from buskers in the squares to the sound of the sea just beyond the walls.
It’s one of those ports that makes you wish for more time — but even a few hours here feels like something special.
