Songmao Ancient Trail Chengdu Section is seriously underrated! This hidden gem for hiking is absolutely amazing! 🔥

📍Location: Qingcheng Mountain · Dujiangyan Scenic Area, Gongyuan Road, Dujiangyan City, Chengdu (near Yingxiu Town, Wenchuan)
⏰Opening Hours: Open all year round, anytime you want to start～
🚗Transportation: 1.5 hours drive from downtown Chengdu, just navigate to "Songmao Ancient Trail"!
🏃Hiking Tips: About 11km in total, allow 3.6 hours, beginners please assess your ability～

💦First-time valley experience:
Right from the start, there’s a super beautiful stream with pebble paths! Perfect for photos! 📸
The stream is crystal clear, birds singing and flowers blooming, close contact with nature～
⚠️But be careful:
🔹The riverbed stones are extremely slippery! Make sure to wear non-slip shoes (very important!!)
🔹You’ll encounter several shallow fords, waterproof shoes are a must!
🔹You can see many traces left by the 512 earthquake, be cautious of falling rocks when taking photos

⛰️Climbing challenge:
The second half gets tougher! Steep and slippery slopes, beginners please be mentally prepared!
You might meet some adorable local sheep 🐑, but don’t disturb them～

✔️The trail is not fully developed, it’s recommended to hike with companions!!!
✔️Highland weather changes quickly, raincoat and windbreaker are essential
✔️No supplies along the way, remember to bring enough food and water (at least 2L!)
