A day in Edinburgh 🗺️

#uktrip

Spending a day in Edinburgh was like stepping into a storybook! 🏰 The city is a perfect blend of historic charm and modern vibrancy. I started my day at the iconic Edinburgh Castle, perched high on Castle Rock with breathtaking views over the city. The entry fee was around £19, which included access to the Crown Jewels and the Stone of Destiny – absolutely worth it for the history and stunning architecture alone. The walk along the Royal Mile from the castle was filled with charming shops, street performers, and historic buildings, making it easy to get lost in the atmosphere. 🎻

After soaking up the medieval vibes, I made my way to the picturesque Princes Street Gardens, the perfect spot for a relaxing picnic with the castle looming overhead. 🌳 For a bit of a thrill, I joined a ghost tour in the afternoon, exploring the eerie underground vaults and learning about Edinburgh's spooky past. 👻 The tour was fascinating and only cost about £15.

Before sunset, I hiked up Arthur’s Seat, a dormant volcano that offers panoramic views of the city and beyond. The hike was a bit steep but manageable, and reaching the top was such a rewarding experience. 🏞️ To end the day, I grabbed a pint at a local pub on Grassmarket, soaking in the live music and lively atmosphere. Edinburgh is truly a city that has something for everyone – history buffs, nature lovers, and foodies alike. Can’t wait to come back and explore even more! #trip #edinburgh #scotlandadventures #historiccharm #royalmile #arthur'sSeat
