Hiking Calton Hill and enjoying the panorama of Edinburgh

Many places in Edinburgh are world famous. Take Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. But another place that is famous - and for all the right reasons - is Calton Hill.

Calton Hill, located near Leith Walk, gives incredible panoramic views across the city of Edinburgh. You can get awesome vistas of Edinburgh Castle - and see its incredible structure atop an extinct volcano!

You can also see Arthur’s seat, the hill/mountain that has become a past time for many a tourist to hike and then take some time at the top relaxing and enjoying the panoramic views around them. In recent times, this has also become famous for its use in the film and later, TV series called ‘One day’.

Make sure you take plenty of photos from this vantage point. The monuments and structures make for a pretty photograph and no doubt, you’ll want to take plenty of selfies!
