I really enjoyed this experience, even more than Edinburgh Castle. It's much less crowded

This is an excellent tour to take while in Edinburgh. Tickets are best purchased online and in advance. There's a comprehensive and easy to use audio guide that comes with the ticket The palace and abbey have a rich Scottish and British history. Events surrounding Mary, Queen of Scots,
We thoroughly enjoyed wandering through the palace and it wasn’t as crowded as the castle. The abbey ruins are evocative and the gardens are beautifully kept. There’s a nice tea room and gift shop.
