So I FINALLY made it to The Mausoleum of Genghis Khan in Ejin Horo Banner, Ordos—and OMG, this spot is straight-up legendary! Located right by the intersection of Ejin Horo Street and Prague Road, it’s super easy to find. Pro tip: they’re open year-round from 07:30 to 18:30, and entry is RMB 90. Drop that coin, you definitely won’t regret it!
This place isn’t just a regular attraction—it’s an ancient shrine where Genghis Khan is revered as ancestor, dynastic founder, AND actual deity. Fun fact: it’s known as the "Lord’s Enclosure" among local Mongols, since the real Khan’s body isn’t here (plot twist: his real tomb is still a mystery to this day 😲).
First impression as you roll in: a MASSIVE statue of Genghis Khan just chillin', making you feel like you’ve walked into a Mongolian epic. 🇲🇳 The history and vibes are next-level—walking the ornately decorated hallways, you’ll honestly feel like you’re stepping straight into centuries of legend.
Quick heads-up for all my fellow shutterbugs: NO cameras allowed inside the mausoleum! You gotta soak up all that ancient aura IRL. The interiors are *chef’s kiss*—super ornate with insane attention to detail.
If you’re ever in Ordos, trust me, The Mausoleum of Genghis Khan needs to be at the TOP of your must-see list. Total paradise for culture buffs, history geeks, and anyone obsessed with wild legends. Soak up the stories, snap those pics outside, and get ready to feel the myth.
