Stay in a Fairytale Forest Cabin in Shennongjia, It's So Beautiful It'll Make You Cry

This trip to Shennongjia from Xi'an
was interrupted by sudden heavy rain, forcing us to stop in Fang County along the way.
But we unexpectedly ended up staying in this Hogwarts-like forest cabin🌲

Fang County is a must-pass on the route from Xi'an→Shennongjia.
Driving straight to the scenic area without rest takes 7h, so stopping in Fang County is ideal to avoid exhaustion. Plus, Hongping Town near Shennongjia Forest District is prone to rain-induced geological hazards😥
Due to the sudden downpour, we chose to stay here for safety～

❤️The experience was unexpectedly delightful, not just because of the unique forest cabin design.
The ecology here is even better, with lush greenery everywhere🌿
On the first day, we arrived during heavy rain🌧️, feeling like we were in Harry Potter's magical forest🌴
The next morning, the rain cleared🌞, leaving only mountain breezes, birdsong, and dewdrops. Surrounded by bamboo, wild mugwort, chestnut trees, and wild kiwis, with rosemary, sage, and hydrangeas in bloom, every photo looked like a painting～

🏡 This time, we stayed in a family-friendly slide suite with my parents.
The two-story "Hogwarts Castle" had a spiral slide leading directly to the outdoor courtyard.
The loft on the second floor was bathed in sunlight—perfect for reading and relaxing.
There are many other forest cabins too, with 270° floor-to-ceiling windows that make you feel immersed in the woods🌲. The room types vary, including mushroom-shaped dome treehouses with star-gazing soaking pools…

🌸 It happened to be the Dragon Boat Festival, and the resort's wild mugwort had grown tall. The butler prepared baskets and scissors for us to gather mugwort for door hangings🌿. Later, we made zongzi with my parents, celebrating a unique festival in advance～

🌾In Fang County, you’ll find every household selling yellow wine. We heard that during the festival, visitors can tour the winery to learn about the brewing process—unfortunately, we missed it this time.
