Fenghuang (Phoenix) Ancient Town

If you’re visiting Zhangjiajie, you must add Fenghuang Ancient Town to your list. This quaint town is listed as one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites and I can’t agree more.

Fenghuang Ancient Town is just so so so beautiful ❤️❤️❤️ The tranquil riverside and mountainous landscape are very charming. The stilt houses, bridges, cobblestone streets are very well preserved despite being centuries old.

I would recommend to stay overnight here as the day and night views are both amazing and beautiful in its own way.

While you’re here, take the opportunity to experience wearing Miao traditional costume with the complete accessories. There are many shops providing costume rental. Some offers make up and photography services with additional charges. Personally I prefer photography with night view. 😍😍😍
