Fengjian Water Village is located in Xingtan Town, Shunde, Foshan, Guangdong. It is one of the local tourist attractions with Lingnan water village characteristics.

The history of Fengjian Water Village can be traced back to the Western Han Dynasty. It is surrounded by water and retains the ancient style. It has the style of mulberry ponds and fish ponds, and has the charm of Lingnan water villages.
"Small bridges, flowing water, and houses". Because the scenery is comparable to Zhouzhuang in Jiangsu Province, it is called "Shunde Zhouzhuang".

Fengjian has a long history. Since the village was founded in the Song Dynasty, it has gone through countless years. In the water town and on both sides of the river, there are settlements consisting of ancient houses, ancestral halls, altars and other water town buildings.

Among them, the stone arch bridges "Mingyuan Bridge", "Juji Bridge" and "Jin'ao Bridge" are more famous.

Many of the people who lived in seclusion in Fengjian were from scholar-official families. They passed down poetry and books from generation to generation, respected Confucianism and education, and had a strong culture of advocating reading.

Stone tablets used for paving roads or building stone steps at piers can be seen everywhere. Most of the inscriptions on the tablets are engraved with names such as Juren and Jinshi.

The area is rich in tourism resources and has retained a lot of original water village culture and traditional Guangdong cultural elements.

Hundreds of years old ancient buildings can be seen everywhere here, showing the Lingnan style of the water town 🏞️
